On March 7, Prof. Nguyen Ngoc Thang from Hanoi University of Science and Technology visited our institute to give an academic presentation on the topic of "Green Nanotechnology in Ecosystem - Friendly Functional Finishing of Textile Materials".Vice President Jiang Huiyu, Ke Wei, and representatives of faculty and students participated in the activity and had an in-depth dialogue with Prof. Nguyen on the innovation and application of eco-friendly textile technology.
Prof. Nguyen focuses on the innovative application of nanomaterials in eco-friendly textile functional finishing and elaborates on the core technologies of biomass-derived nano-coating development, low-pollution surface modification process and photocatalytic degradation of pollutants.Through the case study of green transformation of Vietnam's textile industry, he analyzed the challenges and eco-toxicity assessment strategies for the large-scale production of nanomaterials, and demonstrated his team's breakthrough results in textile waste recycling.
After the presentation, Prof. Nguyen had an on-site exchange with the faculty and students of the college. The attending faculty and students asked Prof. Nguyen for advice on their concerns, and Prof. Song patiently answered them one by one, and looked forward to further cooperation with the college faculty in their research areas.
