On the afternoon of May 7th, 2024, the opening ceremony of the overseas training course for textile technicians of the Tajikistan Agricultural Textile Industrial Park, sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce and undertaken by the university, was held in the auditorium of the Tajikistan Technical University. Academician Mei Shunqi of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, second-class secretary Zhang Zhiqiang of the Economic and Commercial Office of the Chinese Embassy in Tajikistan, Director of the Textile and Sericulture Department of the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of Tajikistan, Sitola Tiloyeva, and the first vice president of the Tajikistan Technical University, Mahmoud Toshmatov, attended the opening ceremony. Professor Zou Hantao, Associate Professor Ke Wei, and Associate Professor Luo Lei of our college attended the opening ceremony.
Academician Mei Shunqi delivered a speech on behalf of the university at the opening ceremony, introducing the fruitful achievements of Wuhan Textile University in recent years in the fields of discipline construction, scientific research, and international education. He said that China is willing to work together with Tajikistan to promote the building of a China-Tajikistan community with a shared future that features everlasting friendship, mutual support, and win-win cooperation.
This training course lasts for 14 days. Based on the actual needs of the local trainees' work positions, our college fully relies on the construction achievements of the textile new materials and green manufacturing and textile equipment and intelligent manufacturing discipline groups, and effectively gives play to the characteristics and advantages of the construction of the Chinese Overview course in the international talent training system, "tailor-made" a series of courses and seminar practice sessions. Through the high-quality implementation of the project, it will help the construction of the first-class disciplines of the university and actively promote the cooperation between the textile industries of China and Tajikistan, "weaving" a new atmosphere along the Silk Road.
The wonderful courses prepared by the professor team of our college this time will, on the one hand, open a window for the trainees to better understand the excellent traditional Chinese culture and the advanced civilized achievements of socialism with Chinese characteristics. On the other hand, by sharing the frontier scientific and technological achievements in the textile field, especially the cotton planting technology and management experience with Chinese characteristics, it will provide all possible help for the textile technicians and staff in Tajikistan to improve their employability. The trainees and teachers and students said that they hope to become envoys to promote cooperation in the fields of textile technology, economy and trade, and education between China and Tajikistan in the future and contribute to the continuous progress of the friendship between the two countries.
